Kore ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you use the Kore mobile application ("App").
We collect the minimum data necessary to operate the service. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information:
- Device Identifier: A randomly generated device ID stored locally on your device. This is used to identify your profile across sessions without requiring account registration.
- Display Name: The name you choose during onboarding, visible to your squad members on leaderboards.
- Workout Data: Exercise type, rep count, points earned, and timestamps for completed workout sessions.
- Squad Activity: Group membership, challenge participation, and leaderboard rankings.
- Subscription Status: Whether you have an active Kore Pro subscription, managed via RevenueCat.
3. Camera Usage
The App uses your device camera solely to count and verify exercise repetitions in real time. Camera processing happens entirely on your device. We do not record, store, or transmit any video footage or images to our servers.
Camera access requires your explicit permission. You can revoke camera access at any time in your device Settings, though this will disable camera-verified workout counting.
4. How We Use Your Information
- Display your name and stats on squad leaderboards
- Track your workout history, points, streaks, and rank progress
- Send and receive challenges within your squads
- Provide AI coaching responses through Google Gemini (text queries only — no images are sent)
- Process and verify subscription purchases via RevenueCat and Apple/Google
5. Data Sharing
We share data only with the following trusted service providers, strictly to operate the App:
- RevenueCat — subscription and in-app purchase management
- Google Gemini API — AI coaching responses (text only)
- Apple / Google — app distribution and payment processing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party.
6. Data Storage & Security
Your workout data and profile information are stored on our servers hosted on Replit's infrastructure with PostgreSQL. We use industry-standard security practices to protect your data. Your device ID and profile photo are stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage.
7. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as you use the App. If you wish to delete your data, please contact us and we will remove your account and associated records within 30 days.
8. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to or restrict certain processing

10. Third-Party Links
The App may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those services and encourage you to review their privacy policies.
